A bookish traveler is their own breed and there’s special travel gear for the book lover. I’ve done my fair share of traveling and these accessories have made my life so much easier.
Travel Gear for the Book Lover
There are some of us out there (me) that can’t read with other noises happening around me. I can’t even put on music. I like complete silence when I’m immersing myself in a good book. Luckily, these Loop Switch 2 earplugs help drown out the outside noise so I can focus on my book.
This airplane phone holder is perfect for a hands-free experience. What’s awesome about it is that you can use it on the plane, attach it to your suitcase, use it as a stand, and much more. Pair it with a page turner and you can snuggle up under your blanket, sit back, and enjoy your in-flight reading experience.
For you Kindle readers out there, this tablet holder keeps everything organized for you. You can keep you Kindle, charger, phone, and other accessories all in one place. No more worrying about being at the pivotal chapter in your book with only 1% battery!
My fingers cramp after reading a physical book for too long. With this book holder, there’s no more hard finger maneuvers to try and keep the pages open. Ultimately, a more comfortable flight, train ride, or drive, if you ask me. Plus, it’s pretty and easy to pack!
If you’re like me, then you feel guilty turning on that bright overhead light while everyone else is sleeping on the plane. Luckily, they make small lights to make your reading experience less bothersome to those around you. There’s an over the neck option, as seen in the photo. Or, there’s a light that can clip to your book.
And finally, the Kindle. Sometimes, we just have to put the physical books away when it comes time to travel (especially when you’re trying to avoid baggage fees and just stick to the carry-on). I’m a phone reader now, myself, but I used the Kindle Paperwhite in the past and absolutely loved it. So if you’re ready to try reading electronically, make sure to check it out!
**If you’re an e-reader, make sure you get a library card and the Libby app. You’ll get access to all of your libraries digital books… for free! If you find your library a little lacking, check out Kindle Unlimited. For a monthly fee, you have access to their complete collection of Kindle Unlimited books.
With us book lovers, traveling can be tough. With how much books weigh, their bulkiness, and the sometimes specific conditions we need to really get into the book, why not try and make our lives easier? Hopefully you found some good travel gear for the book lover in you.
